Full-time for a fun, family-like, growing organization. Driving or riding passenger of a 26 foot box truck. Processing/inventorying office electronic equipment (laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, servers, phones, etc.)

We're looking for a new team member to join our ER2 Sacramento crew. We are 95 team members strong nationwide, with just 2 running the show in Sacramento for over a year now! We're very excited to grow this team. This role will support our logistics department with IT asset disposal pick ups from clients near and far.

The right addition to the team will be someone adaptable, who loves collaborating with others.  Whenever you're not on the truck/at a client's site, you'll jump in at the warehouse to help with processing the product we get in from our clients.

We’re looking for a safe, courteous, and customer-oriented individual.

A lot of the time you'll be nearby and able to maintain normal business hours, working a day shift M-F.

However, there will absolutely be pick-ups that take you a couple hours away, or a couple states away!

So this person must be willing to travel (by plane or truck) for longer trips as needed (sometimes through the weekends)!

What does an ITAD pick up look like?

When large organizations refresh their technology, they need someone to pick up and properly manage/handle the retired assets. Each pick up will be coordinating just that.

This includes following timelines, acquiring necessary resources (tools, bins, truck rental), and collaborating with team members.

Our Sacramento team is a crucial part of our West Coast business operations. As an extension of our AZ, TX, and TN teams, by helping us reach more businesses and have a wider community impact.

Happy to travel. Willing to get hands dirty. Comfortable driving 26 foot box truck. Computer competent. Customer focused. Good communicator.

Yes, driving will be required - but that's not the focus of our work!

Processing the equipment is the focus i.e. accurate inventory, the customer experience, and handling the product correctly - that's the focus!

More details:

  • Travel as needed across the U.S.: open availability, could be 2 days, could be 2 weeks
  • Willingness to travel alone if needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer Oriented
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Team player, happy to jump in wherever needed
  • Strong computer skills, someone who is comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets
  • Extremely organized
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Strong time management skills
  • Problem Solver
  • Adaptable
  • Long-Term- We’re not looking for someone who’s half-invested. Our team is growing FAST and we want you to grow with us. The right candidate will be looking to contribute for the long haul. ;)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive as needed
  • Assist in prepping tools/resources
  • Constant coordination with Logistics Team
  • Follow planned daily route based on pick-ups assigned
  • Provide excellent customer service when picking up from clients
  • Conduct onsite inventory of products being picked up
  • Safely and securely load, transport, and unload goods
  • Keep up with daily communication with clients, partners, and team members via phone and email
  • Perform vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Utilize multiple sources to research and assess resale value of electronic products received
  • Sort non valuable products into appropriate containers
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles, as well as supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate with leadership team/counterparts across all company locations
  • Problem solve as issues arise, communicate barriers and defects
