CDTFA has over 30 tax and fee program which it administers, the largest being Sales and Use Tax. Last year, the CDTFA answered over 550,000 calls. This position is part of a team to ensure the first point of contact with the Customer Service Center (CSC) is pleasant and professional.
Under the direct supervision of the Staff Services Manager III, the Office Assistant (General) performs a variety of support functions for the Manager and Customer Service Center staff, including: processing mail, printing returns/permits to mail/fax to customers, and logging close-out requests. The Office Assistant (General) welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Directs visitors by maintaining the CSC Visitor Log, issuing temporary badges, and maintain and distribute pay and travel warrants.
