**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Design-Build Manager to be based in either Sacramento, CA; San Francisco, CA; Oakland, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; or Bakersfield, CA. This position will report to our Water Group in Sacramento, CA (with dotted line to the Chelmsford, MA Design Build group).
This position is expected to begin in December 2020

The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, Water Design-Build Project Manager. This position will be part of an exciting team employing the latest technologies to solve critical water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems throughout the United States and Canada. This is an opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most pressing water infrastructure problems and contributing to AECOM’s success as an industry leader in engineering and construction.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ The Project Manager will be charged with responsibility to direct the performance of ongoing water and wastewater projects as well as take a leadership role in the development and capture of upcoming design build pursuits.
+ It is desirable that the DB Project Manager is capable of performing in both engineering management and construction project management capacities.
+ As a DB Project Manager the primary responsibilities will include managing the activities of a multi-discipline design through AECOM’s design centers, as well as overall project management for procurement, scheduling, VE or constructability reviews, familiarity with job cost reporting, and budget control activities through the life of the project, including EAC analysis during on-site construction as prime contracting entity.
+ Those Project managers with either Design Build project management experience or Construction Management (at-risk) or prime contracting experience will be considered especially those with water/wastewater industry experience or those with experience in industrial (process) oriented construction fields.
+ Fiscal Experience – Proven project management skills to delivery projects at or under budget and on schedule. Working knowledge of job accounting and reporting methods such as earned value and estimates to complete.
+ Team Oriented – This position requires the skill set to facilitate engineering and construction teams working collaboratively together to deliver the project.
+ Bachelor’s Degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in delivering engineering and construction projects at risk in the water/wastewater industry or those projects delivered at-risk as a general contractor.
+ Good understanding of project delivery and ability to facilitate technical discussions when needed.
+ Proven project management experience with ability to manage a diverse team.
+ Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil/Environmental/Sanitary/Chemical Engineering with either contracting license and or P.E. registration.
+ Travel to other offices/sites will be required.
+ Experience managing D/B projects that are $30 Million or more
+ A DBIA or CMAA certificate is preferred but not required.
