**AECOM** is seeking a highly talented Construction Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the construction engineering functions, quality assurance and inspections on a large number of small construction projects as part of a program to ensure adherence to all engineering construction plans and specifications, contractors selection and coordination of their work, and turnover of the facilities to the client. This is a client facing role with extensive travel of up to 50%, and can be based from any **AECOM** office within the West Region.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, however, are not limited to, the following:
+ Under general supervision of Project Manager, performs routine duties.
+ Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, review and monitor standard engineering and construction techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of contractor procurement phase activities including RFI reviews and bids evaluation
+ Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of construction work.
+ Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
+ Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
+ May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

**About DCSA—Program and Project Management**
+ As an industry leader in program and construction management, we partner with clients to support projects from concept to completion. + BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 2 years of Civil / Construction Engineering and/or Construction Management experience executing multiple small construction projects.
+ Familiarity with 2D CAD software program(s).
+ Ability to travel up to 50% to client site locations across the US.
+ Valid US Driver’s license.
+ Previous experience supporting accessibility construction projects.
+ Previous experience working on US Federal Government projects.
+ Experience using 2D AutoCAD software program.
