JOB DUTIES: . Perform office procedures such as data entry, filing system maintenance, and other clerical services. . Maintain Form I-9 tracking, filing and retention; monitor forms for completeness. . Create new employee orientation packets, set up for new employee orientations and employee trainings. . Assist with new employee orientations and communicating benefits information to employees as needed. . Create new employee files and maintain the personnel records filing system. . Monitor employee driver's license, automobile insurance coverage, and CPR/First Aid certifications; request new verification prior to expiration date; update employee records. . Track and acknowledge employee anniversaries and birthdays as directed. . Assist other Human Resources staff by making copies and mailing correspondence. . Answer the telephone and take messages as needed as well as order departmental supplies and maintain a clean and safe office environment. . Protect On My Own and its' employees by keeping all Human Resources Department information confidential. . Conduct departmental and personnel file audits as directed. . Maintain a professional relationship with clients, their support systems. co-workers, and external agencies. . Assist public, employees, and clients with questions and investigate the correct answers or persons to address issues. . Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: . Through education and/or experience, possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement all functions of the position. . One year of experience working in a human resources setting. . Two years of experience working in an office environment. . Must be willing to obtain Red Cross CPR/First Aid Instructor Training Certification within six months of hire. . Proficient in the use of standard office equipment, computers and various software including Microsoft Office. . Ability to learn and retain new skills as required. . Valid CA Drivers' License with reliable transportation and proof of car insurance in your name. .
