Under the general direction of the Division Chief and Assistant Division Chief of the Unclaimed Property Division, the incumbent is responsible for managing, planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the Accounting Bureau. The Bureau Chief is responsible for developing processes to ensure Digital Financial Assets (DFA) and securities are received and accounted for, DFA and security claims are valued and paid accurately and timely, and program revenues and disbursements are accounted for in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include oversight of DFA and securities sales, DFA and security claim payments, stock assignments, compliance billings, financial accounting functions, DFA and securities portfolio management and reconciliations, and accounting for receipts and disbursements from the Unclaimed Property Fund.
