Class A Driver

Job Summary

Best Driver Solutions is seeking a dependable and professional Class A CDL Driver for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who is safety-focused, adaptable, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Duties:

• Safely transport construction materials and general freight throughout Northern California.
• Complete 1-2 delivery stops per route.
• Local deliveries with occasional out-of-town runs.
• Drivers are generally not responsible for loading or unloading freight.
• Driver assistance may occasionally be required on out-of-town deliveries using a hand truck/dolly or liftgate.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and submit it daily.
• Maintain a professional attitude and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.

Schedule:

• Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week
• Typical start time: 7:30 AM
• Start times may occasionally range between 3:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• Occasional overnight trips in a sleeper truck (Per Diem provided)

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum of 2 year of recent verifiable Class A driving experience
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks is required
• Experience with flatbeds and Conestoga trailers required
• Comfortable driving throughout San Francisco, the Bay Area, and Silicon Valley
• Strong work ethic with the ability to think independently and solve problems in the field
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation daily
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
