Under general supervision, Construction Management Specialists serve as assistants to the Resident Engineer or Inspection Supervisor and on behalf of the County on the construction phase of a single, complex project or multiple projects of less complexity. The Construction Management Specialist assists in ensuring that projects are constructed in accordance with plans and specifications, the Public Contract Code, and prudent construction management procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Either: 1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management. Or: 2. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering.
And
One year of full-time experience acting as a project manager or owner’s representative on public works construction projects. Or: 3. Two years of full-time experience supervising staff engaged in the inspection of buildings, highways, streets, water/wastewater facilities, drainage...
