Catalyst Family Inc. has been preparing children for success in school, creating a foundation for life-long learning, for over 45 years. Our nonprofit agency began in 1975 as Continuing Development Incorporated and in 2020 we changed our name to Catalyst Family Inc.
In addition to providing infant/toddler and preschool programs, our after school programs on elementary campuses expanded dynamically in the late 80s and early 90s. In 2020 our center programs became what we’ve always really been – Catalyst Kids!
Catalyst Kids will continue our unmatched, licensed care for children, as we inspire bright kids to be their best every day. We believe in providing responsive services for communities, families, & children.
Catalyst Kids serves children and families who qualify for State subsidies through the California Department of Education, and the Early Learning and Care Division. We also provide private fee–paying families care options during the school year and for seasonal camp programs.
We currently partner with thirty-four school districts to provide before and after school academic and educational enrichment, transitional kindergarten and kindergarten readiness programs for children and families. Our centers are licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division – the agency charged with health and safety reviews of child care centers. Catalyst Kids operates over 150 childcare centers throughout the State of California, serving over 20,000 children.
Headquartered in Morgan Hill, California, we have regional offices in, Sacramento, Irvine and Oxnard, CA. Our programs are individualized, unique and specific to the needs of our families and local communities. Integrity, creativity, inclusivity and engagement are the values that drive our programs each and every day. We are committed to meeting individual community needs and our large agency view affords us the stability, resources, and scale needed to help all kids shine.
