Job Summary The Project Estimator position will work closely with insurance companies, insurance adjusters, clients, customers, and all other parties involved in claims, to produce accurate estimates and determine appropriate plans to get the affected loss back to pre-loss condition as quickly as possible. Responsibilities  Produce a complete and accurate estimate including subcontractor solicitation, quantity survey, and accurate pricing.  Develop estimates pursuant to ATI estimating standards, including creation of accurate floor plans in Xactimate.  Establish and maintain relationships with clients throughout the restoration industry in order to cultivate existing accounts, blossom existing accounts, and gain future accounts.  Read blue prints and architectural drawings and be able to develop detailed estimates and scope of works from these documents  Meet with municipal inspectors as required.  Work with ATI operations, sales, marketing and management to operationally manage reconstruction projects following fire or water damage, mold, hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters.  Manage multiple projects simultaneously over a multi-location region.  Develop and maintain client book of business.  Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants, and others.  Attend ATI sponsored operations and safety training courses.  Other duties as assigned. Required Experience  Minimum three (3) years construction estimating experience.  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent is a plus.  Working knowledge of property restoration best practices.  Working knowledge of applicable building codes.  Commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional property estimating experience in value up to (at least) $50,000.  Demonstrated experience using Xactimate software. Skills and Other Requirements  Ability to identify potential site hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.).  Satisfactory completion of OSHA Construction 30 hour course.  Experience with site-specific safety plans.  Willing to work nights and weekends when requested.  Periodic travel.  Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per ATI’s vehicle policy. Physical Demands: Must able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination and drug screening. Able to wear full and half face respirator and lift/carry 50 pounds. Work Environment: Will frequently visit sites with a work environment that is usually dirty, dusty andnoisy, on uneven ground/surfaces containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures. The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for supervising crew members during performance of asbestos, mold, lead and/or other hazardous waste removals while adhering to company policies and procedures regarding remediation while overseeing job set-up and quality control. This includes monitoring crews, customer relations, adherence to company policies and procedures regarding remediation, completion of an environmental field packet on a daily basis, taking air quality samples and compliance with hazardous waste handling practices. The individual will participate in occasional industry training, update certifications, and maintain fitness levels as required for the Environmental field. The individual will also adhere to EPA, OSHA and local requirements regarding safety, hazardous materials handling, etc.  Other qualifications and responsibilities might arise as deemed necessary by circumstances   We are a full-service resource for restoration, remediation, and recovery – including comprehensive hazardous materials mitigation.
