The Spa and Pool Attendant is responsible for orienting Guests to Spa at Thunder Valley’s facilities, greeting guests as they enter, and providing personalized Guest service. The Spa Attendant is also responsible for keeping the lounge, locker room and other Guest areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions Be responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s "Winning Attitude" company-wide culture and demonstrating AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. Issue Spa lockers, robes and slippers to Guests, and escort them to the lockers. Provide an orientation tour, explaining Spa amenities offered and answering Guests’ questions. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker and facility area. Stock locker room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets. Ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment, and inform management when stock is low. Review Guest appointments and schedules as needed. Actively promote the Spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and discounts as available. Develop professional relationships with regular Guests in order to provide personalized service tailored to individual Guests’ preferences. Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal Guests, and develop professional relationships with regular clientele. Maintain complete confidentiality in all Guest matters in accordance with company policy. Handle Guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by Guests, ensuring complete satisfaction. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Spa. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Spa that require attention. Be responsible for knowing the location of the Safety Data Sheet binder and understanding the Safety Data Sheets for hazardous chemicals used within the Spa. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of customer service experience in a spa or resort environment is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment. Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality. Excellent communication and listening skills. Server responsible to service guest, prep food when necessary, pick up and serve food to table. Preparing one of three guerdons on a rotational basis, preparation and placement of flatware. Retrieving appropriate glassware, with ice if needed; calling drink orders to service bartender and garnishing drinks; serve drinks to guests – requires lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, communicating in English, as well as knowledge of drinks available. Preparing final guest check, presenting to guest, completing transaction at the POS, returning correct change to guest. Overview Reporting directly to the Beverage Manager, the Assistant Beverage Manager will provide direct supervision of beverage service on the casino floor on assigned shift. The Assistant Beverage Manager will ensure that all Beverage Team Members achieve individual and department goals, along with overall profitability of Thunder Valley Casino Resort while maintaining AAA Four Diamond standards of Guest service. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s "Winning Attitude" company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.  Execute all Beverage department responsibilities by enforcing Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s policies and procedures fairly among all Team Members and in accordance with company’s negotiated union contract. Understand and follow all policies and procedures as directed by management, suggesting and initiating necessary changes and improvements. Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with alcohol awareness training and local and federal laws. Ensure Beverage Team Members are exceeding AAA Four Diamond Guest Service standards. Actively circulate through all bar areas to ensure Team Members are providing cordial and timely beverage service to Guests. Respond and solve front-of-house Guest issues in a timely and efficient manner. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations, and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards and ensure cleanliness of all Beverage areas. Ensure Team Member safety and displays knowledge of all emergency procedures. Have knowledge of SDS booklet as appropriate for Beverage operations. Assist with scheduling in collaboration with Thunder Valley Casino Resort Scheduling department, and manage labor for casino floor, all beverage bars, seasonal staffing, summer pool bar, and portable floor bars. Assist in setting floor station labor allocation charts, and post and award shift bids as they come available. Interview, hire and train new Team Members utilizing the Job Coach Program and effectively auditing to ensure training standards are satisfied. Maintain quality control of products and services, ensuring excellent and consistent quality of service and presentation. Evaluate and oversee job performance of all Beverage Team Members. Hold individual subordinates accountable for performance of job duties, tasks, policies and procedures. Conduct monthly inventories of beer, wine, and liquor in all bar areas. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years food and beverage supervisory experience. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. Ability to handle a flexible schedule. Ability to delegate, empower, and evaluate hourly Team Members to achieve desired objectives with minimal supervision. Sound judgment in all decision making ability, even when dealing with difficult situations, where Guests, Team Members and the overall long term profitability are not adversely impacted. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and make quick judgment decisions. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.  Physical Requirements: Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Requires walking, reaching, turning, bending, lifting, carrying, observing, hearing, sitting. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment. Bussing and resetting tables with appropriate utensils as needed. Responsible for answering the telephone. Ensuring that Team Members are notified that the manager on duty has closed down stations. Ensure customer satisfaction through presentation, food quality and promote positive customer relations. Display knowledge of all emergency procedures. Follow set schedules and specific job duties. Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards pursuant to Thunder Valley’s policies. Treat each Team Member with care, dignity, fairness and respect. Display and encourage teamwork in the department. Communicate on a consistent basis with all managers. Keep them abreast of all department activities. Possess the ability to work hands-on in any kitchen environment, including those involving a three-meal period and high volume production. Majority of the production will be frying, sautéing, griddling, carving, broiling, and steaming all meats, fish, vegetables and poultry. May include cold salads, sandwiches, cold displays, salad dressings, slicing deli meats and cheese for guest services according to Thunder Valley standard’s and specifications. Qualification: Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form. Regular attendance and punctuality necessary. Must possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain unit’s appearance and operating standards. Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision. The Senior Engineering Specialist – Laundry Mechanic is   responsible for the overall maintenance of the laundry equipment and machinery, including installing parts, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on all equipment related to the operation of the Laundry Room.  The Senior Engineering Specialist is responsible for the effective overall operation of the Engineering Department in meeting the 24-hour demands of a successful Casino/Resort operation and will respond to job assignments including, but not limited to, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment and related components as directed. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.   Essential Functions Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. Perform tasks under the supervision of the Engineering Supervisor, Chief Engineer, Facilities Manager, and Director of Facilities. Make all necessary repairs to maintain the property’s operations, as well as specific equipment tailored to specialized discipline of the Team Member hired for this position. Responsible for repair and maintenance of laundry and related equipment and ensuring that all equipment is operating at full capacity. Ensure that Hotel, Spa, and Food & Beverage linens, terry, and robes are washed and prepared to AAA Four Diamond presentation standards. Maintain a full understanding of all equipment and preventive maintenance programs. Conduct quality checks of laundry and housekeeping hamper wheels as necessary and create a maintenance schedule for these components. Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Laundry Manager and Engineering management. Respond to all internal and external Guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid Guest inconvenience or discomfort. Become thoroughly familiar with all systems throughout the property. Responsible for training less experienced Team Members. Maintain all electrical tools and maintenance equipment. Ensure that all established rules, regulations, policies and procedures are strictly followed. Formulate a bill of materials to accomplish all tasks. Systematically prepare to assume job assignments ensuring necessary equipment, parts,  and materials are available and tasks can be accomplished efficiently and safely. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks. Maintain understanding of SDS sheets, along with location of SDS books throughout property. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in a commercial laundry or related setting is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications. Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, welding, hot water boilers, and steam boilers. Boiler knowledge including the ability to explain the functions and operations of all controls on a boiler, ability to light off a boiler in a safe manner, methods of feeding water to a boiler, proper procedures to blow down a boiler in a safe manner, proper water operating levels, and emergency procedures. Senior Engineering Specialist must be proficient ("Journeyman" level specific in two building trades or demonstrate "A Master level in a specific trade, i.e., State Licensed Electrician, Certified Refrigeration Mechanic with all applicable certifications and licenses, or CFC certifications specific training from accredited institutes for that discipline. Must have a valid California driver’s license. Must maintain all licenses and certifications presently held or necessary for specific area of expertise. If state and federal requirements require updating and/or additional requirements, it is the responsibility of the Sr. Engineering Specialist to meet the new requirements.
