The purpose of ACRC’s Speech Pathologist’s position is to assess applicants for eligibility for ACRC services; provide evaluation, assessment, and consultation; and address Client needs in alignment with ACRC-defined ethical, clinical, practical, and professional standards. Specifically, the position will: conduct speech and language evaluations; complete written assessments; review and provide feedback regarding assessment reports by Service Providers; provide information and guidance in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings; work with staff and Service Providers to ensure appropriate and quality services; monitor services/service delivery; as well as provide support and assistance to colleagues, including collaborating to solve unique problems. Experience and Skills: Applicants must possess: a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; 2 years of professional experience in treatment of a wide variety of communication disorders; 1 year of Pediatrics experience; experience in the administration and interpretation of diagnostic tests; and a current California driver’s license, plus current automobile liability insurance. ACRC is seeking a Service Coordinator to provide case management and advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities. This position is currently located in the Sacramento office, and may have cases anywhere in the greater Sacramento area. Typical duties include assisting clients and their families in acquiring and maintaining assessed supports and services including transportation, vocational training, day programming, education, mental health services, medical care, and independent living training; serving as an advocate for the client with community agencies; consulting with and assisting vendors with certifications, applications, and referrals; participation in the development of Individual Program Plans for clients; monitoring these plans and revising them as necessary; completing all required forms, documentation, and reports in accordance with regulations and ACRC policies and procedures; rotating officer-of-the-day duties with other Service Coordinators; assisting co-workers with special projects, unique problems, vacation, and sick relief; and providing emergency on-call services when required. Experience and Skills: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field; have one year of professional experience in social work or a related field (preferably in the field of developmental disabilities); demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; and have strong time management and organization skills.  Other requirements and qualifications may apply. ACRC is seeking a Nursing Consultant at the Sacramento office. Specifically, this position will support client transition activity from Sonoma Developmental Center, Porterville Developmental Center, and Fairview Developmental Center. This position assists Regional Center operations by providing nursing assessments and assisting in integrating the assessment into the individual programs for developmentally disabled adults and by serving as a consultant to staff and community groups as required. The Nursing Consultant will assess the developmental and health care management needs of clients, advise Service Coordination staff in regards to level of nursing care and equipment needs, assist staff in locating nursing care services to provide appropriate care to clients, review Medicaid client charts for certification/decertification process and data entry and audits of compliance for Medicaid Waiver requirements, consult on health care questions from staff, and conduct in-service instruction and continuing education opportunities for staff. Experience and Skills: Applicants must posses a RN License from the State of California; two years of increasingly responsible public health nursing experience in family or adult health; knowledge of nursing principles, methods, procedures, and equipment applicable to serving the developmentally disabled; knowledge of training and consultative techniques, community organization and resources, and programs and services for the developmentally disabled; knowledge of developmental process from conception through adulthood, health and disease aspects of diagnosis, and treatment and management of developmentally disabled children and adults; excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking; and excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and time management. Specifically, this position will mainly focus on Employee Relations.   Experience and Skills: Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or other related field. Additionally, designation of Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and California certification designation (PHR-CA or SPHR-CA) is strongly preferred, as well as designations of SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). At least three years of Human Resources specialist or generalist experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and 1-2 years of employee relations experience, is required. Non-profit and union employer experience is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills, are required, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of standard office equipment.
