The EnCorps STEM (Science, Technology, Engineeering, & Mathematics) Teachers Program helps skilled STEM professionals interested in exploring a career transition to teaching to become more personally involved in public education. We provide an entry point for STEM professionals to make the transition into teaching, and enable them to share their passion for math and science with younger generations. By placing STEM professionals in our most needy schools and classrooms, we are working to close the achievement and opportunity gaps, and we are cultivating a new generation of STEM professionals and leaders.
To date, our small non-profit organization has helped more than 2,000 professionals thoughtfully consider teaching as their next career and we are rapidly expanding our prestigious recruitment and training programs.
The EnCorps STEM Teachers Program creates a world-class pipeline of math and science Fellows by providing an array of structured pre-service training and volunteer experiences where STEM professionals engage with students and in schools directly.
Students, teachers, and schools who work with an EnCorps Fellow benefit from the subject expertise and enhanced understanding of math and science that our Fellows bring to the classroom.
EnCorps serves the greater Sacramento/Capital Region, the Bay Area. Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County.
