Position Title:  Assistant Operator Location:  Sacramento, CA Job Type (Full Time/Part Time):  Full Time Wage:  $19.25/ hour Travel Required: No Shift: Swing   Position Overview:   Blue Diamond Growers has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.    The Assistant Operator is responsible for understanding and supporting the major functions of line operations by keeping the line running safely and efficiently, and being the first backup to the operator. Responsibilities:  Performs daily set up, assists operator with adjustments to production equipment and is ready to backup operator as needed. Must understand line operating functions, ensuring that production safety and quality standards are met. Able to maintain and complete necessary production documents.  Capable of performing sanitation, housekeeping, and some mechanical functions for designated line. Contributes within a team environment leading to production improvements and required to cross train individuals as needed. Must understand and adhere to Blue Diamond line certification, HACCP process, Good Manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and safety procedures. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies. May be required to inventory material usage. Required to operate forklift/transporter. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Supervisor. Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to pass the operator certification (AON) test. One (1) year of applicable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position Title:   Lift Truck Driver- Production           Location: Sacramento, CA           Job Type (Full time/Part Time): Full Time         Position Overview: The Lift Truck Driver is responsible for movement, storage, documentation, and inventory of incoming and outgoing product.  Responsibilities: Responsible for movement, storage, documentation, and inventory of incoming and outgoing product.  This includes operating a forklift, moving material from various locations, loading and unloading vehicles.  May do high stacking and is expected to perform with a high degree of speed, accuracy, and safety. Will be required to use SAP system and scanning equipment to maintain inventory counts and record inventory transactions as required.  Performs inventory functions as necessary.  May on occasion work in the following roles:          Supports the generalist concept by performing various sanitation duties, maintenance, housekeeping and other functions as assigned. May perform general laborer work on seasonal basis. Responsible for completing various documents and reports including daily lift sheet..  Maintains and adhere to Blue Diamond HACCP processes and auditing, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP’s) and safety practices. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor. .    Required Minimum Qualifications:      1 year prior forklift driver experience preferred.  Must be a licensed forklift driver and/or be able to pass a certification course. Position requires excellent communication skills and a basic understanding of machine operations.  Must be able to climb up and down ladders and catwalks.  Must be able to identify and solve problems independently, coordinate workflow and meet output standards.  Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary. Position requires the ability to work in noisy areas with exposure to heat, cold, a high level of almond dust, and movement of vehicles.  Daily lifting and carrying requirements of this position: occasionally (up to 3 hours) of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.    Additional Preferred Qualifications: Prior forklift driver in a warehouse environment. Blue Diamond Growers (BDG) is seeking an experienced Account Representative – Global Ingredients Division to join its winning team in Sacramento, CA.  The Account Representative is responsible for administering all aspects of sales contracts and shipments for domestic and export accounts for the Global Ingredients Division to ensure on-time shipments, contract completion, regulation compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:  Serve as the primary contact with customers and brokers in relation to contracts and orders; maintain and build positive partnerships between BDG and customers/brokers Administer customer contracts in accordance with Global Ingredient Division, and BDG policies Facilitate accurate and timely shipments in accordance with customer schedules, contracts, and payment terms Maintain accurate customer records and ensure documentation of essential information; Assure compliance with governmental and food safety regulations Responsible for accurate invoicing of product shipped, including correct payment of broker commissions, and preparation of debit and credit memos as needed Work with customers, brokers, Sales and Planning to forecast upcoming production needs and shipment volumes and timing. Position Title   : Inventory Specialist B           Location:  Sacramento, CA           Job Type (Full time/Part Time):  Full Time             Position Overview:   Responsible for generating SAP inventory tags for production in assigned areas.  This position is responsible for recognizing/correcting routine inventory and material  problems. Responsibilities:  Follows procedural guidelines to generate SAP inventory pallet tags for one of several production areas. Required use of SAP to monitor accuracy, incoming & outgoing product movement, abn to generate reports. Assists various departments with the reconciling of inventory data. Recognizes and corrects routine inventory problems with a high degree of independence. Ensures that the required samples are collected, tagged and documented as required by the product specification and QC procedures. Must understand and adhere to Blue Diamond HACCP process and auditing, GMP’s and safety practices. May be required to drive fork lift/ transporter. Required to inform supervisor of any deleted inventory tags. Required to cross train other employees as needed. Required to perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. Required to recognize and properly tag various by-products. Required Minimum Qualifications: Basic math skills and proficiency with computer systems (Microsoft Word & Excel). 2-3 years related production experience. Must have basic understanding of inventory procedures. Position requires the ability to define problems and apply predetermined solutions that have been defined by BDG procedures. Works under general supervision. Work consists of routine tasks requiring some simple decision-making. May direct small groups of employees to perform routine tasks.  Requires the ability to identify problems and assist in problem solving.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, shipping instructions, quality control sheets, sample requisitions and schedules.   Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
