United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** The successful candidate will be work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement all aspects of projects throughout the project lifecycle from initial studies through the design, construction, operating, maintenance, and monitoring, site closure phases. This will include conducting treability and pilot studies as required, preparation of remedial study documents to identify, evaluate, and recommend specific remedies, environmental permitting, preparation of work plans, remedial design reports, plans, and specifications, development of remedial operations, maintenance, and monitoring plans, engineering oversight of remedial construction, and oversight of remedial operations, maintenance and monitoring activities, and closure analysis. The environmental remedial project work will be conducted under various programs including CERCLA, RCRA, Voluntary Remediation, Petroleum/UST, and other regulatory frameworks + Builds analytic and design skills. + Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. + Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. + OSHA 40 hour training must be completed or able to complete within first month after hire. + Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint). + Must have strong oral presentation skills, strong written communication skills, work well in multidisciplinary team environments, and ability to meet deadlines **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working at complex sites with a variety of technical challenges including the assessment of contaminated soil and groundwater environmental compliance evaluation. + Engineer Intern certification and the ability to achieve professional licensure within two years of hire **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
