The Prison Industries Superintendent II (Food & Beverage Packaging) will oversee all phases of the food and beverage packaging enterprise at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and California State Prison, Corcoran. This position is responsible for supervising one Prison Industries Superintendent I (Food & Beverage Packaging) and six Industrial Supervisors, Prison Industries (Food & Beverage Packaging) positions working in the Peanut Butter and Jelly, Bread and Cookie plant, and the Boxed Lunch factories. Employees will have regular and substantial contact with persons incarcerated in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institution and/or medical facilities.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in food packaging, handling, or like product.
Enterprise/Factory production experience: operate machinery, assemble equipment parts, etc.
Supervisory or Management experience.
Experience in state service.
Experience purchasing materials and goods in support of a factory or enterprise: negotiate contracts, prepare bid awards, etc.
Inventory Management experience: prepare work orders, bills of lading, requisition materials, and supplies, etc.
Budget experience: analyze monthly accounting reports, cost analysis, examine budget estimates for completeness, etc.
