Under close supervision of an Information Technology Supervisor I, the Information Technology Technician (incumbent) will support the Production Operations (PO) Unit, and other customers within the State Controller's Office (SCO). The duties of this position are focused in the Software Engineering domain; however, work may be assigned in other domains as appropriate.   The incumbent will perform a full range of batch processing assignments on a mainframe, utilizing advanced technologies. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and electronically with SCO personnel and external clients/peers.
