Under general supervision, the Waste Management Systems Technician performs a variety of duties in the operation, maintenance, and repair of landfill gas collection, leachate collection, flare station, wheel wash, and groundwater treatment plant, as well as monitors, collects and submits samples of landfill gas, groundwater, stormwater, landfill leachate, and related systems to ensure County landfills and other refuse related facilities are operating in compliance with facility permits.
Minimum Qualifications
Either: 1. Two years of full-time paid experience in maintenance, construction and/or repair of mechanical and electrical components utilized at landfills, refuse related facilities, or other mechanical facilities with similar systems and equipment.
Or: 2. Completion of 60 semester units or more (or 90 quarter units or more) at an accredited trade school, junior college, or university with a minimum of 30 semester units (or 45 quarter units) in...
