Incumbents serve in the absence of the Clerk of the Board and oversee divisions/programs including legislative management, budget and administrative operations for the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors and Clerk of the Board, grant application and management, Fair Political Practices Commission Compliance, Passport Acceptance and membership/appointments to boards and commissions.  On behalf of the Clerk, incumbents also support the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, Assessment Appeals Board, Planning Commission, Regional Sanitation Districts and approximately 37 other boards and commissions.
