The Financial Audits Bureau performs different financial and compliance audits and have oversight responsibilities for programs such as K-12 Education, First 5, Women Infant and Children (WIC), Single Audits of Local Governments, and the Transportation Development Act. OIG audits, performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, ensure the accuracy of royalty payments for federal lands located within California before they are paid by the federal government.
