Under general direction, the Behavioral Health Peer Specialist Program Manager develops, manages, and coordinates the peer advocacy program which provides support to a diverse population of consumers and families/caregivers receiving behavioral health services; ensures that the full scope of eligible services are received, makes policy and program recommendations based on the specific needs of consumers and families/caregivers, and makes policy and operational recommendations based on the experiences of consumers and families/caregivers; and coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, and the general public.
