Information Technology Technician

We're excited you're considering joining our End User Technology Experience Team! We play a key role in keeping technology running smoothly so our community receives affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy.

We're looking for a motivated Information Technology Technician to provide Tier 2 technical support and assist our team with audio-visual (AV) setup and support for our executive and board office staff. You'll help prepare and operate audio and video systems for our important monthly Board and Committee meetings. You'll also assist users with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and support conference room technology, all while tackling technology challenges with a friendly, hands-on approach.

You don't need to have all the answers right away, but you do need to be eager to learn and adapt in our fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow your skills while working with a team dedicated to making a positive impact, we'd love to meet you!

This posting intends to fill one (1) part-time IT Technician vacancy, and establish an eligibility list which may be used to fill future part-time, limited-term, or regular full-time vacancies over the next two (2) years.

This position may be eligible for SMUD's hybrid (office/home) work employee benefit, the schedule of which will be determined by the successful candidate and the Hiring Manager.
