POSITION SUMMARY: Creative Enrichment Specialists to join the Artisan Mind team of
compassionate, caring professionals who use our collective creative gifts and spiritual
support to positively impact the quality of life of older adults and people living with
cognitive and physical challenges.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Champion Artisan Mind’s mission by honoring the dignity of individuals with
cognitive and physical challenges through creativity, hope, and joy.
• Facilitate art-based enrichment sessions in group and individual settings with
empathy, encouragement, and sensitivity to unique needs.
• Assess client interests, functional abilities, and spiritual preferences to inform
customized activity plans.
• Design and deliver structured group painting sessions, personalized enrichment
plans, and meaningful arts engagement.
• Motivate participants while fostering confidence, self-expression, and social
connection.
• Document key moments and quality-of-life observations through session
summaries.
• Monitor client progress and adjust enrichment approaches as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, care plans, preferences, and outcomes.
• Observe and report changes in client condition, mood, or preferences to appropriate
team members.
• Travel to client locations across assigned regions for in-person sessions.
• Uphold privacy, safety, and all Artisan Mind protocols and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A passion for enhancing the lives of seniors and individuals with cognitive and
physical challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree in art, music, gerontology, social work, therapeutic recreation, or
related field.
• Experience in senior care, memory care, or special needs communities (minimum 2
years preferred).
• Knowledge of art techniques including color theory, painting progression, and basic
art history.
• Ability to confidently lead group painting sessions and art appreciation classes.
• Activity Director or certification in art/music/recreational therapy preferred.
• Skilled in planning and adapting enrichment experiences to suit individual and
group needs.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with clients, families,
and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High level of integrity, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record.
POSITION DETAILS
