Paraeducator II Overview: Support students in gaining greater independence to meet their educational goals
This position supports students with disabilities. The paraeducator may support students with disabilities in variety of setting including but not limited to: General Education, Learning Center/RSP, and/or self-contained classroom. This position may support student ages three to twenty-two.
Paraeducator III Overview: Provide individualized support for our students' diverse learning needs
This position supports students with moderate to severe disabilities. The paraeducator may support students with more intense disabilities in variety of settings including but not limited to: in self-contained classrooms, related services (Occupational Therapy, Speech, etc.) may also include supervision in General Education, Learning Center/RSP, recess, lunch, etc. This position supports students age three to twenty-two
Paraeducator IV Overview: Deliver advanced supports to students with the greatest needs.
This position supports students with severe disabilities. The paraeducator may support students with more significant disabilities in variety of settings including but not limited to: in self-contained classrooms, related services (Occupational Therapy, Speech, etc.) may also include supervision in General Education, Learning Center/RSP, recess, lunch, etc. This position supports students age three and twenty-two.
The Elk Grove Unified School District is the 4th largest and 2nd-most diverse school district in California. EGUSD will operate 69 schools in the 26-27 school year including 44 elementary, 9 middle, 9 high , 4 alternative education schools, a K-8 virtual academy, special education site, and adult education program. The district offers a variety of positions in many different industrial fields across many departments that support the operations and functions as the 4th largest district in California. EGUSD focuses on meeting the needs of each child through programs encompassing academic excellence, targeted supports, wellness and family engagment to ensure ALL students are college, career, and life-ready graduates.
