The County of Placer is recruiting an Appraiser I to help value taxable real property for property tax purposes. In this entry-level, training-focused position, you will gather and analyze data, conduct field investigations, and use appraisal methods to establish values for new construction and property transfers. You will perform routine, less complex tasks under general supervision while building the skills and judgment needed to progress in the Appraiser series. Directly related experience is limited or not required.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, comfortable in both field and office settings, and eager to learn.
The eligible list established as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in the Assessor’s Office as they arise, subject to position-specific requirements.
