Under direct supervision, the Engineering Aide performs simple routine engineering work in the field or in the office; and does other related duties. The eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill vacancies for Engineering Aides in various departments. The current vacancy we are recruiting for is with the Department of Community Development, and will perform work associated with land surveying. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Makes simple mathematical calculations. Indexes and files plans, maps and survey notes. Answer routing requests for information. Searches for survey monuments in support of monument verification. Plot information from legal descriptions, plans and other documents to maps. Does simple drafting and lettering. Senior Electrical Engineers are responsible for a variety of the most complex and responsible professional electrical engineering work in connection with the design, construction and inspection of electrical facilities and installations. Minimum Qualifications Either:  1. Three years of experience in Sacramento County service in the class of Associate Electrical Engineer. Or:  2. Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an electrical engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. AND Three years of experience comparable to that in the Associate Electrical Engineer class in Sacramento County service.   Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply immediately.
