AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in Northern California (Bay Area-Sacramento)
Job Summary/Responsibilities
+ Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in the coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
+ Acting as a primary point of contact with the client
+ Reviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposals
+ Delivering positive financial metrics including as-sold profit, billings, and collection management
+ Managing and leading teams and staff assigned for United States Federal design and construction administration projects
+ Successfully developing strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, contract review, and leading project teams to execute projects
+ Managing and leading all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
+ Managing teams across business lines
+ Managing sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance
+ Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
+ Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget
+ Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
+ Ensuring resource availability and allocation
+ Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
+ Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
+ Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
+ Reporting and escalating to management as needed
+ Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
+ Performing risk management to minimize project risks
+ Maintaining project documentation control
+ Delegating project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
+ Valid Driver's License
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Professional Registration in Architecture or Engineering related to building construction (Preferred California-licensed professional engineers – BPELSG)
+ 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture or Engineering leading multidisciplinary teams on project deliverables (e.g., technical reports, studies, construction documents)
+ Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.
+ Experience in the areas:
+ Planning and civil site assessment (so this is a cross-cut integration of planning-master planning, and facility planning, with civil and other service areas)
+ Evaluation and due diligence (capacity analysis for existing, redevelopment, and new development)
+ Regulatory evaluation and planning (including environment planning aka. NEPA or CEQA)
+ Infrastructure planning (underground utilities and surface improvements, transportation access, and circulation planning)
+ Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities
+ Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
+ Federal Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civilian Agency, and/or other public agency experience (desired)
+ Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements
+ Internally driven, self-starter, team orientated
+ Experience working on or managing contracts
+ Project Management Professional certification (PMP)Project
