Under the general direction of the Branch Manager in Operations Division, the Prison Industries Manager (General) manage day-to-day operations of existing programs; new industrial program development; monitoring and feedback regarding program operations; and improvement and redirection of the California Prison Industry Authority’s industrial programs.

Desirable Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications are not required but are listed to demonstrate what experience/education would make the selected candidate most successful in this position. If you have this education/experience, you are encouraged to include this information in your application.
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Budget Experience: Cost accounting, fiscal management, budget procedures.
  • State Service Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, manufacturing systems (Sage X3), etc.
  • Experience working with multiple manufacturing enterprises: Planning, designing, facilitating, organizing implementation of various products and services.
  • Production and inventory management experience.
  • Experience working in a dental and/or optical manufacturing industry.
