As an Analyst III, you will:
Perform the most complex and sensitive analytical work related to classification and compensation, recruitment, examinations, and employee relations support.
Provide lead direction, second-level analytical review, and technical expertise to professional analytical staff to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with civil service laws, rules, and departmental policies.
Coordinate workflow across the unit, supports program consistency, and provides consultation to management on complex personnel matters.
Maintain selected assignments, as needed, to support operational needs while prioritizing lead responsibilities and complex analytical work.
Analyst III Requirements:
Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties.
Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; and An additional two years of professional analytical and/or technical experience, one year of which must be equivalent to an Analyst II.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience performing analytical and technical work in state civil service Human Resources (HR) programs, such as classification and pay, recruitment and examinations, and performance management.
Experience using HR systems such as the Examination and Certification and Online System (ECOS), SCO systems, or similar tools.
Experience interpreting and applying HR laws, rules, policies and procedures to complex personnel issues.
Ability to conduct research, analyze information, and develop well-supported recommendations on personnel issues.
Experience providing guidance and advising management on complex HR-related issues.
Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgement, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to provide technical guidance, training, or support to other staff.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and stakeholders.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex information and prepare written materials such as correspondence, policies, and reports.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
