Health Service Coordinator

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Health Service Coordinator completes and reviews technical documents; interviews applicants; determines residential and financial eligibility; processes referrals and authorizations for clients receiving health program benefits; and applies specific laws, rules and policies relating to a departmental program.

Minimum Qualifications   

Two years of paid, full-time experience performing clerical and public contact duties in a medical setting or a program service site, such as a social service, health service, or children service agency.

Note: Completion of up to 30 semester units (45 quarter units) from an accredited college, university, or career school may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience on the basis of 3 semester (4.5 quarter) units equal one month of work experience.
