The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is seeking a skilled and strategic leader to serve as Coordinator, Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations.
 

Salary and Benefits

Annual salary: $158,453.60 

Comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, life, and vision. TSA options available.

Benefit allowance: $1,023.58 per month for single coverage, $1,698.58 for two-party, or $1,898.58 for family coverage.

Summary:
This position provides leadership and direction for the planning, management, and coordination of facilities, maintenance, operations, grounds, and print shop services across SCOE sites. The Coordinator drives the development and implementation of maintenance, modernization, and capital improvement initiatives that support safe, efficient, and high-performing educational environments. Responsibilities include directing departmental budgets, establishing operational priorities, managing complex facility projects, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and ADA requirements. The position also leads emergency response coordination, sustainability and energy conservation efforts, and long-range facilities planning. Working collaboratively with partners, contractors, consultants, and public agencies, the Coordinator provides technical expertise and leadership on a wide range of facilities-related matters. This role requires a highly collaborative and solutions-oriented professional with strong experience in facilities management, organizational leadership, project administration, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and significant leadership experience managing large-scale government or public sector operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, construction, safety regulations, budgeting, and operational management, along with the ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and establish strategic priorities.
