Job Description And Duties

The Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst II investigates possible violations of the Public Utilities Code, Commission regulations and other federal, state, and local laws for all jurisdictional carriers and initiates enforcement actions such as warning letters, notice of violations, cease and desist letters, and citations at airports statewide. The Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst II conducts analysis related to passenger transportation/vessels carrier activities statewide. The Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst II conducts moderately complex economic, financial, policy, legislative and/or technical analyses, research, investigations and/or audits related to passenger/vessel transportation, using a variety of methods, qualitative information, and quantitative skills, and prepares and presents appropriate recommendations to management. The Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst II participates in safety promotion as it relates to Transportation Enforcement Branch representation at airports, transportation related conferences, Commission meetings, public meetings, and workshops. Finally, the Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst II conducts research and analysis related to current or emerging trends in the passenger transportation industry.
