Under the general direction of the Division Chief and Assistant Division Chief of the Unclaimed Property Division, the incumbent is responsible for managing, planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the Accounting Bureau. The Bureau Chief is responsible for developing processes to ensure Digital Financial Assets (DFA) and securities are received and accounted for, DFA and security claims are valued and paid accurately and timely, and program revenues and disbursements are accounted for in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and established policies and procedures. The Financial Audits Bureau performs different financial and compliance audits and have oversight responsibilities for programs such as K-12 Education, First 5, Women Infant and Children (WIC), Single Audits of Local Governments, and the Transportation Development Act.
