Our expertise and global reach enable us to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients that pave the way for long-lasting benefits to society. **Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Serves as a fully capable professional with minimal direction. + Applies advanced knowledge to develop design procedures software and tools to facilitate high quality cost-effective technical project activities. + Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects. + Manages communication and collaboration with full design team and client. + Conducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects. + Oversees the development and implementation of technical approach and the completion of complex work which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity + Initiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings. + Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings. + Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. + May oversee the work of less experienced designers. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **Preferred Qualifications** + 10+ years of related civil design experience with emphasis on highways state county and municipal highways and roadways + BS in Civil Engineering + Experience with Microstation/ InRoads and Civil 3D is preferred. + Experience with Caltrans PS&E production is an asset. + Ability to apply different agency requirements, standards and guidance for design and plan preparation. + Must work well in a team environment. **Additional Information:** + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. + Relocation assistance is not provided for this role. **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future.
