**Job Summary** **AECOM** is seeking an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Market Lead to drive growth of ESG services within the US West Region. This position has the flexibility to allow a hybrid combination of remote and office work. This position can be based out of any AECOM West Region office within the United States including, but not limited to: Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA or Sacramento, CA. The selected candidate will join the West Region Growth and Strategy team, and report to the Growth Officer. The primary emphasis of the team is to drive ESG across AECOM’s West region that serves 33 states. This role will sponsor and oversee ESG leaders in the West region, as well support staff across business lines embed ESG principles into all projects. The role will include: + Maturing the integration of ESG (strengthening climate resilience, achieving net zero, growing sustainably, new energy transitions and improving social outcomes) into our core design and engineering services, in each of the business lines, through the adoption of global and regional platforms and processes. + Supporting the growth of specialty ESG consulting services, offered to key clients to support them on their own ESG transformation journey + Driving ESG revenue growth and talent acquisition across the Buildings and Places, Transportation, Environment and Water business lines, in collaboration with business line ESG technical leaders **Job Responsibilities** The West Region ESG Market Lead will play a cross business line role, with a focus of helping to embed principles of our Sustainable Legacies strategy into all projects. The individual will have a broad understanding across sustainability and resilience topics as they relate to the world’s built, natural and social environments – to be able to help identify where opportunities lie to strengthen climate resilience, achievement of net zero emissions, transitions to new energy solutions and improvement of social outcomes. The candidate will likely have a focus on one or more of these topics and a proven ability to develop business in these markets. The ESG technical lead will work closely with regional technical leads and business line ESG advocates, and with regional and global ESG leadership to drive adoption of ESG solutions at scale and to promote ESG centers of excellence in the US West region. **Key responsibilities:** + Align ESG strategies with regional growth strategies and focus on key clients. + Ensure the regional leadership team clearly identify and track the business outcomes from broad embedding of ESG solutions into all lines of business + Support business line leaders by tracking growth of ESG specialty services + Support teams on major and large pursuits to mainstream ESG services + Support teams to identify and remove barriers to ESG embedding + Enable collaboration between core business teams and ESG teams + Represent West Region within the global ESG team + Deliver ESG KPIs relating to revenue growth, hiring and training + Promote the ESG advisory service offerings internally and externally + Recognize outstanding contributions and outcomes + Showcase proof points and case studies **Attributes/skills** + Self-starter with the ability to work as a positive, energized and adaptable team member + Flexible with work times to align with colleagues in different time zones + Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and influence senior leaders + Extremely strong relationship building skills + Demonstrated ability to champion and drive ideas/programs/solutions + Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to work under pressure and prioritize effectively + Able to demonstrate passion, energy and drive **At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.** We believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. We’re one global team – 47,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world. **Achieving Net Zero:** + Supporting development of interventions in support of our science-based net zero targets + Supporting development of our net zero roadmap, as a key member of the Corporate Environmental Working Group + Carbon accounting in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, particularly on Scope 3 emissions (purchased goods and services, capital goods and business travel) + Feeding into the effort to reduce supply chain emissions, including through supplier engagement and low carbon procurement + Feeding into the effort to reduce operational (fleet vehicle and office energy emissions) and business travel emissions **Enhancing Governance:** + Supporting the application of our ESG project risk assessment, through risk identification and mitigation of projects associated with thermal coal, new oil and gas, land acquisition / vulnerable people, and cultural heritage + Supporting Corporate Communications for reporting into the Annual Report and ESG Report on relevant topics, and reporting in line with TCFD and SASB + Responding to client sustainability questionnaires, particularly CDP and Ecovadis. + Supporting bid writing for sustainability **General:** + Collating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data + Prioritizing tasks and meeting commitments on an on-going basis and taking ownership and responsibility for the timely completion and quality of work + Leading and participating in project team meetings, client meetings and internal meetings + Providing ideas and potential solutions for more effective environmental and sustainability outcomes and proactively promoting best practice and innovation across our business + Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policy, guidance and best practice relating to sustainability and ESG + Building relationships internally across teams within AECOM to expand the scope of our reach **AECOM’s** Sustainable Legacies program describes our approach to the environment, social equity and governance (ESG.) We help clients reduce their impact on the environment, achieve compliance and reduce risks. **Minimum Requirements** **Minimum Requirements:** + BA/BS + 12 years of related experience leading ESG (sustainability, decarbonization, climate resilience) businesses within the built environment or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership. + Demonstrated inspirational leadership and ability to manage business transformation + Recognized industry leadership + Degree in Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Planning/Engineering or related field + Planning, Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction experience + Experience consulting for the public sector + Demonstrated commitment to and passion for sustainability, and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline driven team environment **Preferred Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Current or previous experience driving ESG and sustainability initiatives in the State of California + Change Management or Strategy Management qualifications (desirable) **Additional Qualifications** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position + Sponsorship is not available for this position **What We Offer** We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
