**AECOM** is actively seeking an experienced Water Quality Engineer for immediate full-time employment. We are seeking candidates that have a strong focus on water quality compliance.
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:**
• Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations.
• Lead regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater and wastewater management.
• Prepare and review Water Quality Management Plans, which communicate stormwater and wastewater regulations affecting the management of water sources at a facility.
• Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
• Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying sizes and complexity.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+ 6 years of engineering experience focused on water quality compliance
+ Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role
+ Nationwide travel (50% of the time)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 10 years of engineering experience focused on water quality compliance
+ P.E. license is preferred
+ Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act
+ Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
+ Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software
+ Experience reviewing and/or writing Spill Prevention Countermeasure Control (SPCC) Plans
+ Mentorship Experience
+ Experience consulting DOD clients
+ Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to environmental compliance
+ Strong focus and attention to detail
+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
+ Relocation is not available for this position.
+ Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $145,000
