**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Program Risk Manager** to be based in Sacramento, CA. This position is open for remote work.
**JOB SUMMARY:**
Under the general direction of the Director, Project Services, the Program Risk Manager is responsible for managing the Program Risk Management Section of risk specialists, and working with the program staff, project staff and other consultants to ensure potential risks are identified; assessed and quantified; risk treatment actions are identified; actions are taken to avoid or reduce the impacts; and monitored and reported on. The Program Risk Manager works in the Program Management & Oversight Branch of one of AECOM’s major infrastructure projects.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Lead risk management coordination with the client, PDS staff, PCMs and other consultants to make sure that the potential risks are identified; assessed and quantified; risk treatment actions are identified; Suggest actions to be taken to avoid or mitigate the impacts; and monitored and reported on.
+ Review existing procedures and methodologies, and where appropriate revise, update and establish new procedures, train and mentor staff as may be required in new processes and procedures and periodically audit compliance with these procedures
+ Review risk assessment modelling [quantitative cost and schedule] conducted by others [PCM’s, Contractors, in-house and consultant staff]. Develop and run where not produced by others, QCRA/QSRA models using TOP-DOWN FRA methodology and / or Monte-Carlo methodology.
+ Manages development of all the risk registers, risk assessment and status and ensure that they are captured on the client’s RMS system.
+ Reviews RMS entries to make sure that risks are accurately described and complete. Works with the stakeholders (delivery and functional leads) to making them accurate where required
+ Organizes and facilitates risk workshops and risk review meetings.
+ Works with the project controls staff in incorporating appropriate risk in the cost and schedule assessments and establishing contingencies
+ Supports the bi-annual Program Update Reports, bi-annual Business Plans and Annual Work Plans
+ Supports information required for and meetings with project financial sponsors including but not limited to the Federal Rail Authority.
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying (QS), or a similar, relevant discipline
+ 15+ years of experience in risk management for large, complex construction projects or programs.
+ Proficiency with risk management software such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Active Risk Manager, or other commercial risk management software.
+ Proficiency with computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of risk management for a large-scale construction project and ability to carry out quantitative schedule and cost risk analysis. Must be a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus. Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment. Effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to: write risk assessment reports. Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds; must be detail-oriented and highly organized; and must be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer-service attitude.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proven ability to work with a wide range of disciplines connected with the successful completion of projects.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with staff at all levels
+ Ability to analyze program functional effectiveness and recommend applicable solutions to address needs and challenges.
**Additional Information**
+ Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $162,429.97 - $300,495.44.
