**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Senior Project Accountant** to be based in **Sacramento, CA.**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Review and analyze all financial documentation prior to submission to the client.
+ Coordinate with subcontract points of contact for invoicing.
+ Support monthly subcontractor payment tracking for submission to the client.
+ Assist with the development of monthly invoices and cost reports.
+ Support and monitor/review the monthly invoice narratives process to be included with invoices.
+ Conduct cost and billing reconciliation for accuracy of information.
+ Organizing, and analyzing all corresponding backup data.
+ Coordinating with project controls staff for required project-level reporting.
+ Monitor A/R, A/P, unbilled, and disputed costs status.
+ Participate in weekly invoice meetings with the Program Management.
+ Support PA Manager and the client with Fiscal Year End financial accrual information (Planning/Construction).
+ Support PA Manager and the client with Fiscal Year End budget encumbrances Participating in project cost reviews meetings.
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Degree in Business Administration or Equivalent
+ 5 years of experience in cost accounting and reporting
+ Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems
+ Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook & SharePoint.
+ Has previous knowledge/experience in project cost accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large-scale projects
+ Experience with the following ERP systems: Fi$Cal (Hyperion, Peoplesoft), Oracle & SAP desired
+ Ability to provide cost analysis and provide solutions; research and compile data and maintain accurate and complete project records; meet deadlines; work and communicate effectively with others using courtesy, respect, and sensitivity; and follow and adhere to company policies
+ Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information
+ Extremely detail-oriented and organized
+ Other project duties as assigned
**Additional Information**
+ Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,222.96 - $129,912.47.
