Join us and let’s get started. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Director for our West Region Transportation business line to lead our team of Project Controllers to provide superior project support services, continue to learn and advance their skills, and respond to needs of our growing business. For this hybrid role, there is a strong preference for the candidate to sit within the West Region. As leader of our Project Controls team, you would work directly for our Director of Operations and with business line operation leaders, division managers and finance leaders to build upon current practices, further establish Project Controls policies and procedures, and influence the growth of Project Controls practices within the business line and career development with our Project Controls employees. This position is expected to start immediately. As leader of our Project Controls team, you would: + Manage and lead the Project Controls team, directly and with mid-level Project Controls Supervisors, to provide cost management, document controls, reporting, scheduling and risk management services in support of AECOM projects of varying sizes and complexities. + Work with current business leaders to articulate the role of project controls across the business. + With the help of mid-level Project Controls Supervisors, train, mentor, motivate and evaluate less experienced staff, understand employee skillsets and assist with project assignments as necessary. + Enhance project controls support by identifying advanced opportunities to develop staff and build a team with more advanced skills to utilize on complex projects as the business grows + Assist in potential initiatives such as: standardization of processes and tools; participate in the deployment and evolution of standard AECOM solutions; support the networking with AECOM project controls community to share knowledge and resources across the corporation; support development of project controls best practices within AECOM, potentially working with a vast group of stakeholders. + Accountable to achieve annual/quarterly results against targets and for encouraging Project Controllers to meet their targets for business metrics + Demonstrates leadership attributes that help drive the success of the business and provide a role model for others. + Have broad experience with Project Controls functions on projects with a variety of contract types, complexities and risk profiles. **Qualifications** Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Financial Management, Business Management or similar major + 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 4 years of leadership Preferred Requirements + Track record with substantial, complex and varied project experience + Experience in project controls functions: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, project financial analysis, change management, subcontract management and earned value management. + History leading remote teams + Experience with both Client facing and _internal_ project controls processes and analysis. + Experience providing analysis on problem projects and working with project teams to implement solutions + Ability to execute duties with a focus on continuous improvement, both within the project controls community and AECOM operations + Strong oral and written communication skills, possess interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships, and have demonstrated business acumen + Ability to travel domestically, as required **Additional Information** Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
