**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer to support our exciting project in Sacramento, CA.
* Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
* Provides specialized technical input to studies and _design_ for staff's specific area of expertise.
* Develops study and _design_ procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
* Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
* Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
* Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
* Performs quality control review of _design_ calculations or drawings.
* Prepares technical specification sections.
* Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California
+ Expertise in developing _design_ packages for _highway_ and/or roadway improvement projects in Northern California (must include some Caltrans project experience)
+ Experience preparing technical specifications in Greenbook and/or Caltrans format
+ Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility
+ Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills

+ Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $92,000 to $171,000.
