We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Senior Manager to be based in Sacramento, California. This role will lead engineering staff of multiple disciplines on a wide variety of water resources projects including dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities. **Job Responsibilities:** + Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit. + Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. + Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. At this level, the individual will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence. + Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. + Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 2 years of leadership **Preferred Qualifications:** + 15+ years of relevant civil/geotechnical engineering experience + 3+ years of experience developing Plans, Specifications, and Construction Estimates (PS&E) packages + 5+ years managing other engineers + Experience performing civil/geotechnical design for water resources projects + Project management experience + Active California PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months. + Active Geotechnical GE License or ability to obtain within 6 months. **Additional Information** + Offered rate of compensation for Sacramento, CA. will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
