**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Track and System Lead** to be based in **Sacramento, California.**
**JOB SUMMARY:**
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the Track and System Lead supports the technical coordination between the Engineering Services Branch and the Rail, and Operations Delivery Branch and provides track and system engineering support to the Rail and Operations Delivery Branch. The Lead supports preparing, updating, and maintaining engineering requirements related to track and systems and coordinates with other Branches and relevant stakeholders. The Lead oversees the coordination between the civil infrastructure design development and track and system implementation including O&M. The employee works in the Engineering Services Branch.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Assists in developing, updating, and maintaining track and system requirements
+ Coordinates with Rail and Operations Delivery Branch and other Branches related to track and system requirements and activities
+ Coordinates with relevant stakeholders for track and system interface and requirements
+ Attends regular coordination meetings related to track and system
+ Support procurement activities related to track and system
+ Oversees integration of the civil infrastructure design with track and system requirements
+ Supports development of operation and maintenance plan and manuals
+ Supports rail system integration activities
+ Provides technical support to resolve complex engineering issues between civil design, track and system design, and rolling stocks.
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's degree + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of high-speed rail project management.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or other closely related curriculum
+ Desired 20 plus years of track and system experience
+ Knowledge of high-speed rail track, system, and operation and maintenance
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of the design and construction support projects.
+ Familiar with Design-bid-build and Design-build project delivery methods and requirements.
+ Ability to use experience to evaluate engineering solutions for the major railway projects from planning, preliminary, final design, construction, and through the operation and maintenance phases.
+ Strong project and track and system management background
+ HSR track and system design and construction experience
+ Experience in rail operation and maintenance
+ Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Visio
+ Knowledge of and ability to apply engineering judgment in areas of design and construction engineering on transportation projects
+ Good communication skills
+ Working relationships with management, consultants, private sector contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and their associations.

+ Offered rate of compensation in California will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $142,000 -$261,000.
