Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is hiring an experienced and highly organized **Assistant** **Field Exploration Manager** to oversee field operations for a large exploration program. This large-scale exploration program involves over 200 exploration activities within the Sacramento Delta Region. The Assistant Field Exploration Manager will be responsible for managing field operations during drilling activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and permits, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the project. As the **Assistant** **Field Exploration Manager** , you will work closely with a team of geologists, drilling contractors, biologists, and the Field Exploration Manager. Your role will be pivotal in managing the daily operations of drilling activities, ensuring property access compliance with permit requirements, and supporting effective communication with landowners and various project teams. **Key Responsibilities:** + Serve as the primary point of contact with landowners, ensuring all property access is managed in accordance with the required permits, including temporary entry, court-ordered entry, and encroachment permits. + Collaborate with the property acquisition team as necessary to address any land access issues or concerns. + Oversee all drilling operations in the field, ensuring safety protocols and permit requirements are met at all times. + Work closely with geologists, drill rigs, drill companies, biologists, and other team members to coordinate daily exploration activities. + Communicate daily with the field team, AECOM project manager, and Field Exploration manager regarding ongoing operations and any issues or changes. + Monitor and enforce site safety standards, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner. + Manage field schedules and coordinate logistics to ensure efficient and timely execution of exploration activities. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Valid Driver’s license that allows you to drive during the course of your employment **Preferred Qualifications** + 12+ years of field experience working with subcontractors (construction contractors, drilling contractors) and field teams, particularly in the exploration or construction industry. + Strong communication skills and experience working directly with landowners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. + In-depth understanding of various permits required for fieldwork, including temporary entry, court-ordered entry, and encroachment permits. + Strong organizational and schedule management skills to coordinate complex field operations and ensure timely project execution. + Technologically proficient, with the ability to use mobile apps and tools to upload daily information to the client’s SharePoint site. + Knowledge of the Sacramento Delta Region and its unique land access considerations is highly desirable. **Additional Information** + The position will require frequent travel within the Sacramento Delta Region. + Must be available to be present in the field during all drilling operations and to lead a team of field professionals. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
