Job Description

Under general direction provided by the Information Technology Supervisor II, the incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties associated with the State Controller’s Office (SCO) payment systems and projects having state-wide impact.
 
The incumbent is responsible for the Disbursements Bureau payment programs, IT support assistance, software, and electronic processing systems. The incumbent acts as a project leader and serves as an advanced technical expert performing complex analytical studies and activities in connection with the analysis, development, installation, procurement, and/or support of Disbursements Bureau payment programs, IT support assistance, software, and electronic processing systems, evaluation and negotiation of complex contracts, inventory management functions, fiscal expenditures and monthly budget analysis.
 

Duties Performed:
(Candidates must perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodations.)

  • The incumbent will share payment program duties with another SME in IT Support. Attend meetings. Update management on new payment programs, processes, and issues. The incumbent will be required to learn how to develop agency payment programs, amend existing payment programs, and train others on NACHA Rules and Regulations.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for developing and coordinating complex information technology support and maintenance including providing hardware and software maintenance support by investigating, diagnosing and resolving problems, coordinating installation of PC hardware and software.
  • Assist IT Supervisor I to coordinate with ISD in the distribution of new and existing equipment to accommodate changes in staffing.
  • Share responsibilities with the IT Supervisor I serving as the Bureau’s SME for SharePoint.
