Under the direction of an Accounting Administrator I, the incumbent independently reimburse local assistance project invoices, encumbers the availability of funds, and performs moderately difficult accounting duties to ensure local agencies are reimbursed timely. This position requires a broad understanding of Caltrans’ accounting procedures, knowledge of multiple fund types, accounting systems, federal and state regulations, the Local Assistance programs, and acts as a liaison for federal and state funded Local Assistance projects.

Working Conditions
While at their base of operation, employees will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial light.
