Overview
We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Group Home Administrator with a minimum of one year or more of relevant experience to oversee the daily operations of our residential care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong professional background in childcare and demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

In this role, the Group Home Administrator will be responsible for providing effective leadership and supervision to staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, including staff coordination, resident care planning, and facility management, while maintaining strict compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

The Administrator will also be expected to foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each resident. This includes implementing best practices in care, promoting positive behavioral support strategies, and ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and documentation, coordinating with families, healthcare providers, and external agencies, managing budgets and resources effectively, and ensuring continuous quality improvement across all aspects of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operation of the group home, including staff supervision, resident care, and facility maintenance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to residents’ specific needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to assisted living.
  • Oversee medication administration processes to guarantee safety and adherence to prescribed protocols.
  • Lead budgeting efforts, manage financial resources effectively, and oversee billing and documentation processes.
  • Supervise staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and foster a positive team environment focused on quality resident care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals, social workers, families, and community agencies to support residents’ well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records related to resident care, incident reports, and regulatory documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Skills

  • Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in group home.
  • Strong understanding of developmentally disabled populations.
  • Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
  • Familiarity with home & community care regulations as well as long-term care licensing requirements.
  • Effective communication abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage residents’ families.
