The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Single Rate $26.43 Per Hour
Benefit allowance: Up to $1,169.58 per month for single health coverage, $1,844.58 for 2-party, $2,044.58 for family (includes medical, dental, life, vision, and TSA options)
Job Summary
Under supervision, works as a member of the Special Education Resource Team and in partnership with the Resource Specialist and classroom staff to provide designated instructional services to students with exceptional needs who face challenges to their academic and social success with a focus on assisting students to meet required literacy and transition goals; performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties as described; possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; college level coursework in child development, psychology, social work, or juvenile justice is desirable; previous experience in general and special education systems; experience working with youth who face challenges to their 2 academic and social success in education is desirable.
